Ball control, finishing and team decisions

Choose one complete 30-minute practice for your team. These plans are alternatives, not one long session. Extract the whole ZIP, then open a coach card from the table. Each folder includes its diagrams, timeline and practice data.

PracticeAgesPlayersBallsUse it to
Change dribble touch length with the spaceU6–U942Make a slightly longer travelling touch in clear space, then shorten the touches before entering a tighter section.
Change the angle before a ground shotU8–U1162Move the ball sideways to create a clear ground-shot route around a fixed cone screen, then check the target again.
Rebuild control after a loose first touchU7–U1062After a first touch runs too far, regain a still, reachable ball and a clear target view before attempting a ground finish.
Hold back to receive a ground cutbackU9–U1262Keep the central receiver behind a wide ball carrier, then meet a backward ground pass with room to prepare a finish.
Square a ground pass to a clear finisherU9–U1241Compare the carrier’s screened shot with a teammate’s open route, then choose a controlled square pass or a direct ground finish.
Explore an outside-foot ground passU9–U1262Explore a short outside-foot ground pass to a side window when an inside-foot setup would require an extra adjustment.
Find your target after changing endsU6–U841Recognise which end belongs to the current attack, including after a planned change of ends, without following the nearest moving player.
Arrive in the end zone instead of waiting thereU8–U1061Time an off-ball arrival into a scoring zone rather than occupying it throughout the build-up.
Keep a teammate behind the attackU9–U1261Keep a useful supporting player behind the ball during an attack, and exchange that job when the player advances.
Open a route by taking a teammate’s placeU9–U1262Coordinate one receiver leaving a space with another entering it, keeping two different passing options instead of crowding the same lane.
Keep two defending lines connectedU10–U1281Help a front pair and rear pair reduce the empty space between them while retaining room to cover a pass beyond the front line.
Choose risk from the score and remaining timeU10–U1281Use a visible practice score and remaining time alongside the available space when choosing a patient connection or a forward attack.

Before play

Check the full footprint, buffers, equipment and supervision in the selected plan. Use ground play without heading, tackles or body contact. Stop if the surface or weather is unsuitable; an indoor area must accommodate the same clear layout. Otherwise use a stationary walk-through and reschedule live play.

Open the selected coach card with its local files and use the browser Print command. No prepared PDF is included. These original examples have not been field tested.
